We stopped off to see some ancient petroglyphs today in the Arizona desert.  Pretty cool but, way too hot.  The car was reading 104F.  I didn't get any pics of the petroglyphs themselves because It was "too hot to walk" according to Violet,  so I carried her the whole way.  

And here we are swimming at the pool in Yuma to cool off.

Day 4....the desert

So we made it through a night of puking every hour in tombstone, both girls got some sort of stomach bug,  but have been doing well so far today.  Here we are in the Arizona desert by a saguaro cactus. The girls didn't quite seem to understand my instructions about holding out their arms to make it look like they were holding the cactus.

Day 3, on to Tombstone

Nothing like starting the drive with a little puking on the cat (yes, that's puking ON the cat, not from the cat)...I'll save you the pics :).  All seems well now, and we're back on the road.
